An Introduction to Generative Somatics’ Methodology

Heart, Politics, and Healing: An Introduction to Generative Somatics’ Methodology is a 14 week course for practitioners interested in learning this methodology and deepening their skills in a small group setting. Limited to 8 participants per cohort, the small size of the group allows for a mixture of theory, discussion, and practice, as well as witnessing and feedback from the instructor.

The next cohort will meet Wednesdays 10am - 12pm May 15th, 2024 - August 14th, 2024, for a total of 14 weeks / 28 hours. Sessions will run alternately online and in-person, at a location in East Vancouver.

Course curriculum will include:

• Generative Somatics’ Theory of Change (Arc of Transformation)

• Declarations

• Embodied Consent

• Blending with Safety Shape

• Somatic Perception and Armouring Bands

• Conflict as Generative

• Lineage

• Completions

During the 14 week course, participants will be supported to:

• Deepen their own embodiment.

• Practice and deepen their somatic perception.

• Be introduced to or deepen their understanding of Generative Somatics’ Arc of Transformation and its relevance for healing and social change.

• Witness and participate in demonstrations of somatic practices that forward healing and transformation along this arc; practice many of these with one another.

• Have space to ask questions, and enjoy learning together.

Cost is $1960 per participant ($140 per 2 hour session per participant).
